Almost 4 months ago we released a slew of new features for AJAX Login & Register Pro version 1.1.2; with our most requested feature being the custom login logo. In our latest release we’re listening to our audience even more.
Whats New In Version 1.2?
We’ve taken a proactive anti-spam approach by implementing Google’s reCAPTCHA service, added a redirect per role, custom login & register text, and added a user profile shortcode. Existing customers, how to Update? – Make sure you have an active license and you’ll see the update notice in the WordPress admin dashboard!
An anti-spam option has been one of our most requested features. As a solution we’ve integrated Google’s latest release of reCAPTCHA, which provides an easier user experience for humans and a harder one for robots. Registering your site for google’s reCAPTCHA service has become easier than ever. Once your site is registered visit the ALR Pro Security settings tab, enable reCAPTCHA, enter your keys, and stop spam accounts today!
Redirect Per Role
More and more control of the redirects are requested, and by request, they are added. Our latest option Redirect Per Role, allows you to do just that. Once logged in you can redirect any role to any page you choose. For example, you can redirect contributors to their daily contributor task page, or any role to any page of your choice. All redirect settings are located on the Redirects Tab.
Login & Register Text
Granular control of the forms has arrived, and there’s more to come. With the latest you can customize the “Are you a member?” text and link, along with the “Already registered?” text & link. This allows for greater control of the forms via the WordPress admin. You can now send them to your pages containing the login or register shortcode, as opposed to opening the dialog boxes.
User Profile Page
Logged in users now have a simple, and light weight user profile page. All you have to do is publish a page with the following shortcode [ajax_profile]. Once your logged in visitors visit your page, they’ll see their profile based on their WordPress user account, posts published, and their recent comments.
In addition to the above features we’ve added the following:
- Support for case sensitive usernames and passwords (note: WordPress Networking admins, WordPress Networking does not support case sensitive usernames
- PHP notice for when there is no license set
